A Sober St. Paddy's Day

“May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, and all your heart might desire!”

This is the first year in the last decade that I haven't celebrated St. Patrick's Day in Kansas City. Instead, I worked all day rocking a kelly green cardigan and reminding myself that green beer is not allowed on the South Beach diet anyway. However, after a few drunken phone calls from friends wondering where I was, I started to feel a little bummed that I was missing the festivities. I think my boyfriend is feeling the same way since he requested I pack a 6-pack of Boulevard Irish Ale when I fly to see him in three weeks! Can you even fly with beer? This just seems like a disastrous spill waiting to happen!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here We Go...

Well, spring is upon us (almost), and what better time to try something new?

I used to love writing. Actually, I used to love a lot of creative and artistic things, but somewhere in the chaos of my twenties I forgot about many of those. Now that I have made the decision to slow down, to leave all that chaos behind I have decided bit by bit to start doing the things I love again.

So, I am going to blog. Not sure how and not sure what about, but it should be interesting (maybe just to me, but that's okay too!)
